Announcements by the Chairman or Chief Executive Minutes: The Chairman presented Mr Scott Lincoln an award in recognition of his sporting achievement in being crowned British Shot Put Champion. The Chairman, on behalf of the Council, congratulated Scott and wished him every success with his future sporting career. |

· Development of the former Northallerton Prison Site · Devolution and Combined Authorities – The Leader reported that the Council had put forward an expression of interest in the option for a Great Yorkshire with an Elected Mayor

Cabinet Portfolio Statements Minutes: (a) Councillor P R Wilkinson, Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Finance made a statement regarding the current position of the Council’s long term financial position following the reduction in Government grant and the recent announcement that there would be a further cut of 40% over a 2 year period; update on the Bedale Car Park and Dalton Bridge projects; Central Northallerton and Vibrant Market Towns initiative and the new Business Roundup Newsletter.
(b) Councillor N Knapton, Portfolio Holder for Support Services made a statement regarding the new LED lighting in Bullamoor Park and the plan to replace the remaining lights in the park with new LED lighting.
(c) Councillor B Phillips, Portfolio Holder for Environmental and Planning Services made a statement regarding the Planning Inspector’s decision on the Stokesley Planning Appeal; the Local Plan Members’ Working Group; the appointment of a Planning Policy Team Leader and the implementation of the new Recycling Policy. |
