To consider the following motion:-

“That, pursuant to its powers under Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council hereby confers upon Mr A W Barker, Mr M J Prest and Mr J N Smith the title of Honorary Alderman of the District of Hambleton in recognition of the eminent services which they have rendered to the Council of the District of Hambleton during the period they were a member of that Council.”

In accordance with the recommendations of Council on 21 July 2015, following careful consideration of the following guidelines: nominees must have served at least five consecutive full terms (a minimum of 20 years); or served at least four consecutive full terms (a minimum of 16 years) and served as Chairman of at least two Committees or been a Member of the Cabinet during that period.

THE DECISION:
