EMERGENCY FLOOD RELIEF SCHEME, DALTON AIRFIELD INDUSTRIAL ESTATE

This report is seeks approval for financial support for a flood relief scheme at Dalton Airfield Industrial Estate.  This is in line with the Council's priority of supporting local economic growth in an area recognised for its importance in this regard.

In accepting the recommendations, Cabinet will approve a grant of ?25,000 capital to the Occupiers of Dalton Airfield Industrial Estate, subject to a minimum equivalent amount being agreed by North Yorkshire County Council; the required planning approvals being in place and a formal agreement being in place regarding the constitution of the Dalton Occupiers.

COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE LEVY (CIL) - PROGRESS UPDATE

This report provides an update on the progress with preparing for the introduction of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and provide details on the proposed Preliminary Draft Charging Schedule for approval for public consultation in
January 2013.

In accepting the recommendation, the Hambleton CIL Preliminary Draft Charging Schedule will be approved for consultation.

PUBLIC LIGHTING ENERGY SAVING INITIATIVES

This report seeks consideration of public lighting energy saving initiatives in conjunction with forthcoming works to be undertaken by North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC) on the roads network lighting system.

In accepting the recommendation, approval will be given to progress a joint consultation exercise with NYCC and subsequently implement an energy savings exercise for both NYCC and HDC street lighting systems throughout the District at an anticipated capital cost for HDC of ?100,000.

This report introduces the North Yorkshire tenancy strategy and recommends its adoption as corporate policy in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
