3. BUDGET MONITORING REPORT 2011/12 - QUARTER 1 Opens in a new window

This report provides an update on the budgetary position of the Council at the end of June 2011.

In accepting the recommendations, Members will determine the adjustments to the revenue budget outlook referred to in section 3 of the report; the position on the capital programme referred to in section 6 of the report will be noted; the position on the reserve funds referred to in section 7 of the report will be noted; the grants and other moneys referred to in section 4 of the report will be paid into the Service Improvement Reserve, and the schemes referred to in section 4 of the report will be funded from the Service Improvement Reserve.

4. TRANSFER OF PROPERTY TO DALTON PARISH COUNCIL Opens in a new window

The purpose of the report is to consider transferring the freehold of Council owned land at Dalton to the Parish Council.

In accepting the recommendation, the freehold for the land hatched on the plan at Annex A of the report will be transferred to Dalton Parish Council, subject to the reimbursement of the District Council's legal costs and on condition that the land is retained for community use.

5. AUDIT & GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES 2010/11 - ANNUAL REPORT Opens in a new window

This report analyses the work undertaken by the Audit & Governance Committee up to 31 March 2011. An analysis of the work undertaken is attached at Annex A and has been approved by the Audit & Governance Committee at its meeting on 29 June 2011.

In accepting the recommendation, the report of the Audit & Governance Committee as shown at Annex A of the report will be endorsed.

6. PUBLIC OPEN SPACE, SPORT AND RECREATION ACTION PLANS Opens in a new window

This report seeks endorsement of the Public Open Space, Sport and Recreation Action Plans for the parishes of East Cowton and Husthwaite.

In accepting the recommendation, the Public Open Space, Sport and Recreation Action Plans detailed in Annex B of the report will be endorsed.

7. COUNCIL SIZE AND ELECTORAL ARRANGEMENTS Opens in a new window

This report suggests a procedure for determining and evidencing the Council's initial proposals on Council size and warding prior to submission to the Local Government Boundary Commission.

In accepting the recommendation, an Electoral Arrangements Working Party will be established as set out in Section 2 of the report.

9. EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC AND PRESS - To consider passing a resolution under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 excluding the press and public from the meeting during consideration of item 10 on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

10. ACCOMMODATION WORKS FOR BROADACRES BRIDGE STREET DEVELOPMENT WITHIN AUCTION MART CAR PARK BEDALE Opens in a new window

This report seeks authority for the Council's Valuer to act on behalf of Hambleton District Council, to negotiate with Broadacres Housing Association (BHA) in relation to payment for accommodation works at Auction Mart Car Park, Bedale, to serve their proposed new development on adjacent land on Bridge Street.
