Agree to enter Business Rate Pool for North Yorkshire for 2022/23

There is potentially significant additional income from business rates for Hambleton District Council in 2022/23 by entering into these pooling arrangements with little or no risk. Estimates based upon 2021/22 rate returns is that the amount will fall between £270,000 (pessimistic outlook) and £550,000 (optimistic outlook).
The actual position will be agreed as part of the final budget setting process at Council in February 2022.

Remaining outside of the business rate pooling was considered. This would result in no additional income for HDC.
