This report seeks consideration and approval of the Stray Dog Enforcement Policy.  The Policy sets out the service provided in relation to stray dogs and the general principles in relation to the enforcement of stray dog legislation.

In accepting the recommendation Cabinet will approve and recommend to Council that the Stray Dog Enforcement Policy is adopted.

The reason for the decision:

To take account of the Control of Dogs Order 1992 and the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005.

That Cabinet approves and recommends to Council that the Stray Dog Enforcement Policy be adopted.
