This reports seeks approval for the designation of the Sessay Conservation Area and adoption of the Sessay Conservation Area Appraisal as a Supplementary Planning Document.

In accepting the recommendation, Cabinet will approve and recommend to Council that a Conservation Area is designated for Sessay and the Conservation Area Appraisal attached at Annex 1 of the report be adopted as a Supplementary Planning Document.

The reason for the decision:

Designation of a new Conservation Area demonstrated that the Council was fulfilling its duty under the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
