The Director of Support Services and Deputy Chief Executive submitted a report requesting that the Committee confirm that the Chairman of the Committee preside as Chairman of the Licensing and Appeals Hearings Panel and that in the event of the Chairman being unable to attend a meeting of the Licensing and Appeals Hearings Panel, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee or any other Member of the Committee preside as Chairman of the Panel.

To take account of the requirements of The Licensing Act 2003 and Gambling Act 2005 and provide consistency for the Panel.
THE DECISION:
That the Chairman of the Committee preside as Chairman of the Licensing and Appeals Hearings Panel and that in the event of the Chairman being unable to attend a meeting of the Licensing and Appeals Hearings Panel, the Vice-Chairman of the Committee or any other Member of the Committee preside as Chairman of the Panel. |

Report of the Director of Environmental and Planning Services Minutes: The subject of the decision:
The Director of Environmental and Planning Services submitted a report seeking approval for amendments to the current Vehicle and Driver Licensing Policy in order to make provision for the use of CCTV in licensed vehicles.

The reason for the decision:
The Committee was satisfied that the amendment to the Policy would enable a suitable and effective mechanism to be operated by licensed drivers.
THE DECISION:
That the Vehicle and Driver Licensing Policy amendments be approved subject to consideration of any responses received in response to a six-week consultation period with the trade commencing forthwith. |
