The subject of the decision:

A key component of the North Northallerton development was the concept of a sports village which would provide new opportunities for both formal organised sport and informal unsupervised recreation.  A number of meetings had been held in recent years with sports clubs from Northallerton, Romanby and Brompton to explore development plans.  This report sought approval of the concept plan for consultation, which had arisen from these meetings, attached at Annex A of the report.

None.

The reason for the decision:

Cabinet was satisfied that the concept plan would assist in delivering a key component of the North Northallerton Development Plan.

THE DECISION:

That Cabinet approves:-

(1)        the concept plan as suitable for public consultation;

(2)        subject to (a) above, that a planning application be submitted; and

(3)        a funding and delivery plan be drawn up.
