This report sought approval for consultation an updated version of the Planning Enforcement and Compliance Policy and for the new document to be known as the Local Enforcement Plan (as attached at Annex 1 of the report).  The current version had been adopted in 2008 and following review it was concluded that the document should be updated to take account of the publication of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and Government guidance in the Planning Practice Guidance.

The reason for the decision:

 

To ensure that the plan was up-to-date which would assist in managing enforcement proactively in a way which was appropriate to Hambleton.

 

THE DECISION:

 

That Cabinet approves the issue of the Local Enforcement Plan as attached at Annex 1 of the report for public consultation by invitation to Parish Councils and Planning Agents and display on the Council’s website.
