THE DECISION:

That the minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 7 June 2018 (SC.3 - SC.6), previously circulated, be signed as a correct record.

Report of the Deputy Chief Executive

The Deputy Chief Executive presented the Health and Safety Annual Report which provided an update on the Council’s improvements in health and safety management during 2017/18.

THE DECISION:

That the Health and Safety Annual Report 2017/18 and the Corporate Health and Safety Plan for 2018/19 be noted.

Report of the Director of Finance (S151 Officer)

The Deputy Chief Executive presented a report which provided a summary of the Council’s performance and achievements during 2017/18.  The Committee asked a number of questions which were responded to at the meeting.

THE DECISION:

That the Annual Review report for 2017/18 performance to deliver services to the community be noted.

Report of the Chairman

The Chairman reported that the Committee had agreed that its next review should be on Promoting Economic Vitality including Markets and presented a draft Project Plan for consideration.  The Committee suggested some minor amendments to the Project Plan and agreed that the Director of Economy be invited to the next meeting of the Committee.

THE DECISION:

That:

(1)        the Project Plan as amended be approved; and

(2)        the Director of Economy and Planning be invited to attend the next meeting of the Committee on 13 September 2018.
